I put the “Love Burst Into Bloom” roses Ariel gave me in the garden in the backyard because I imagined that returning them to the earth would be better than leaving them to shed their petals inside.   Or alternately, they’re there as a warning to the other flowers of their imminent demise yolo, flowers.  memento mori.
